Groundbreaking Ceremony
On June 1, 2010 Mayor Ralph V. Suozzi was proud to host the official groundbreaking ceremony for one of Glen Cove’s most significant transportation projects. Mayor Suozzi was joined by many local, state and federal officials for this exciting announcement.
“The Glen Cove Ferry Terminal will be a welcome addition to our community as we work to bring new life to our waterfront and improve connections to our downtown. As Mayor, I am proud that this project is environmentally responsible and that it returns vacant property to productive use, providing an important economic boost to our City. This is a significant milestone for Glen Cove and the benefits of this new form of transportation connection will be felt throughout the North Shore and the larger Long Island community,” said Mayor Suozzi.
